There are hundreds or thousands of mesmerizing Hindu temples across India. India is known for its rich Hindu culture and tradition. So, all these temples are in different shapes, locations, and designs but today not all of these temples are built as described in Vedic literature.
Ancient Hindus never built a temple just to please the Gods. They built it to connect with the Gods, to get a calm and better mindset, or in other words to get recharged. We have to understand that an ancient Hindu temple was not a place of prayer. There was nobody in the Hindu temple in that era to lead a prayer and nobody to lead your prayer. (Temples did have priests. Their main duty was to assist worshipers in performing rituals or ceremonies. Moreover, they have traditionally been the final judge of purity and caretakers of temples. But connecting with God is something you have to do without any help).
Paying 5 rupees and telling God what he should do, we started that recently. Otherwise, our culture told us that if we go to the temple, there is no need to pray or we must pray but they told us that we must sit there for some time. This practice still exists in South India but in the north, it's all gone long ago.
South Indian families are still aware that if you go to the temple, you must sit there for a while. The idea was if there is a strong field of energy, you simply sit there quietly and imbibe that. So, the culture told us, ‘First thing in the morning we have a shower, go sit in the temple then go and do our business.
Because once we step into the world, whatever kind of transaction we do, we tend to get worked up because somewhere we are losing and somewhere you are gaining. One day, our losses may be more than the gains. This will not just be in terms of money; in every relationship transaction also, there will be loss and gain. So, in the morning we go to the temple and imbibe that energy and go into the world so that we pass through the world smoothly.
At the same time, it was also said people on the spiritual path need not go to the temple Nowhere else in the world is that wisdom exists. The ancient Indian temple does not look forward to those people who are on the spiritual path because they have their self-charging methods.
So according to my perspective, a temple is a public battery charging place. Today, we are constructing temples just the way we are constructing shopping complexes, cinemas, or any commercial building with concrete and steel, probably for the same purpose, because everything has become commercial.

I liked this one soo much. So true. This piece is brilliant!
